Addonics Driver Updater

Addonics Technologies on Monday announced a product that crams together almost a dozen different kinds of storage media, all for $249.

Included in the new Addonics MFR (Multiformat Recorder) is: a DVD player, a USB 2.0 DVD/CD-RW, an 8-in-1 format flash memory reader/writer, and an MP3 music player. A remote control is included as well. However, the MFR lacks a hard drive, and the DVD drive can not record DVD media.

The drive serves as an 8X DVD reader, and doubles as a DVD player with S-Video and A/V cable jacks, as well as a 24x10x24 CD-RW. The device can drive playback of digital images in flash memory or on a CD-RW over TV sets or digital projectors.
